Clare boys basketball bounced by Meridian, take down Shepherd

The Clare boys basketball team lost their game against Sanford Meridian on Jan. 25 with a final score of 55-30. They also won their game against Shepherd on Jan. 30 with a final score of 56-44.
In a Hudl highlights video of the game against Sanford Meridian, in the first quarter, Ritchie Montgomery had a three pointer, and Nic Porter had a steal in both the first and second quarters. In the third quarter, Miles Haggart scored a three pointer and Ryan Louch had a steal. In the fourth quarter, Rylee Nash had a three pointer, Dane Alexander had a fast break, Jayden Arthur had two steals, and Chase Randall had a block.
In addition to the 30 points they scored, the boys also had a total of 31 rebounds, five assists, five steals and one block. Their field goal percentage was 24%, their three point percentage was 21%, and their free throw percentage was 38%.
No stats were found or available for the game against Shepherd at the time of writing.
The Pioneers’ next couple of games will be against Gladwin and Reed City.
