DECATUR – The Van Buren District Library director has been dismissed from his role, according to an email from the Van Buren District Library administration to VBDL staff, then to municipalities within the VBDL system.
Following a special VBDL board meeting on Sept. 15, the board made the decision to dismiss Dan Hutchins from his role as VBDL director. “He will no longer be involved in library operations,” said the announcement.”
It continued, “To keep things running seamlessly, the board has asked Tracy and Chantelle to help cover responsibilities while a permanent solution is identified. If you need anything or have questions, feel free to connect with either of them. Thank you for your flexibility and for everything you do for the library.”
