Steinert was a sprinter. In the 100 meters, her personal best was 14.65 seconds. In the 200 meters, she had a personal best of 30.43 seconds.
Steinert was strong in the 4×100 relay which had a best time of 55.71 in the regionals and took two second places in Jack Pine Conference meets.
