FARWELL — Sara Poet is Farewell’s new cross country coach.
“Key moments from last year are three of our student athletes received all conference awards those are Evalynne Bell 1st all team, Keagan Terrian 2nd all team, and Conner Cousineau 2nd all team,” Poet said. “Another key update from last year is this was our first time having a full boys team in many years..And we have one again this year.
“Key athletes that graduated last year and will be missed from the program are Evalynne Bell and Keagan Terrian. Both of these athletes are not only great runners but they are great individuals! They are always looking out of others and willing to jump in and help when needed. They will both be missed.”
Poet added:
“We have a great group of runners this year and all of them will be key for our team. We are looking forward to more conference awards to come out of them this year. Conner Cousineau 10th grade this year and he was 2nd team all conference last year. We also have Paxton Terrian 10th grade, Cal Mogg 10th grade, Clayton Lutes 11th grade, Aubrianna Terrian 11th grade, and Mariah Degeer 11th grade, we are looking forward to a great season with these runners.
“Expectations for the team this year is to work hard, have fun, and show improvements in themselves both in and off the course. This group of athletes have a lot of passion and it’s going to show this season.”
