A 24-year-old Jackson man was hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday after he was shot in the back of the head near Wilkins Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, police said.
Officers responded to the area about 9:51 a.m. and found the injured man, Chief Christopher A. Simpson said. The man was taken to Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson.
The suspect had not been identified and was last seen in a silver vehicle, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
