The Michigan Fiber Festival board, committee members and staff invite all to participate in and/or visit the 2026 Fiber Festival, the largest sheep and wool festival in Michigan. The Allegan County Fairgrounds will be buzzing from Wednesday August 12 through Sunday, August 16, 2026, with the sounds of fiber animals and visions of fiber arts of all kinds.
Wednesday, the festival opens with a wide variety of fiber arts workshops. With 70 Workshop options from which to choose, Wednesday and Thursday will only be open to those participating in the workshops.
On Friday, August 14th, the festival will be open to the public with additional workshops, shopping at the Barn Booths, demonstrations, and food vendors. Saturday and Sunday, August 15th and 16th will continue workshops, shopping, and demonstrations while adding special competitions for kids.
Festival at a Glance
Wednesday & Thursday: 9am – 9pm Workshop participants only
Friday & Saturday: 10am – 5pm Public Welcome, Competitions & Demonstrations, Barn Booths & Vendors Open, Workshops continue
Friday & Saturday: 11am – 2pm John Pahl Historic Village Open
Sunday: 10am – 4pm Public Welcome, Youth Competitions including the Costume Class & Parade and Obstacle Course, Barn Booths & Vendors Open, Workshops continue
Shows include the Sheep Show, Angora Goat Fleece, Mohair and Fiber Goat Fleece, Pygora Goat Show, Skein Competition, Rabbit – wool, skein, garment, and educational posters, and wool fleece.
The Demonstrations will introduce visitors to Spinning, Angora Rabbit Wool and Basic Rabbit Care, Sheep Shearing by Sily Goose Acres, herding, and more.
Sunday focuses on the youth with the fun loving Costume Class and Parade plus an Obstacle Course in the Sheep Barn.

Food vendors will be open throughout the Festival, plus visitors can explore the John Pahl Historic Village on Friday and Saturday from 11am – 2pm thanks to the Allegan County Historical Society volunteers.
