An old-fashioned campmeeting with a religious liberty theme will be held at the new AMI (Advent Mission Institute) building site, August 20—22, Thursday through Saturday, from 9:15 a.m. through 9:30 p.m. each day. Over 900 people from across the United States and as far away as Australia have registered to attend this inaugural event on the AMI campus at 3311 Edgewood Road, Berrien Springs.
The event boasts 18 speakers, including acclaimed cardiac physician, Dr. Peter McCullough, speaking on “Great Medical Controversies: When the Orthodoxy is on the Wrong Side for Decades.” Attorneys will present with titles such as, “Separation of Church & State in the First Amendment” and “Labor Unions, Fast Thinking, and Lost Minds.” Three panel discussions on religious liberty topics, including one discussion by young adults titled: “Millennials and Religious Liberty” are intermingled in the plenary and breakout sessions..
Several speakers will present on the importance and scope of true education. AMI’s Medical Director, Dr. R. Allen Hoffman, will speak about the need for medical missionary work. And co-founders Pastor Ron Kelly, Dan Bacchiocchi, and John Dronen will share portions of the program, including the story of the founding of AMI (established only a year ago, July of 2025) and future plans for the development of the campus and the multi-faceted ministries of AMI. Over 40 exhibitors from across North America will share their wares or information about their ministries. Sammy Arepas and India Garden will provide food trucks on site for lunch and supper on Thursday and Friday. Sharday’s booth with juice and popsicles will also be available. Saturday evening there will be a watermelon feed.
It wouldn’t be a campmeeting without music! In addition to the rousing congregational hymns that will be sung between presentations, several artists will provide music including original, themed pieces. A choir, composed of attendees who would like to join, will practice together Thursday and Friday in preparation for Saturday. Friday night there will be a concert by acclaimed tenor, Javier Gonzalez. A freewill offering will be collected at the concert for needy families in refugee camps in the Middle East.
The entire event will be held under tents, including the main tent which is 120’ x 60.’ An overflow tent will accommodate even more attendees. Everyone is encouraged to dress casually in comfortable shoes, the terrain is sandy and uneven.
