Paw Paw Township provides funds to purchase lifesaving equipment

Paw Paw Township, in partnership with the Village of Paw Paw and the Paw Paw Police Department, approved to provide funds for the Paw Paw Police Department to purchase lifesaving equipment for use in Paw Paw and the greater community. Two Stryker AEDs, two LifeVac anti-choking devices and other emergency medical equipment were purchased by Paw Paw Township for Village of Paw Paw police officers to have with them on patrol. With the disbandment of Paw Paw Quick Response Team, there was a recognized need in the community to have the ability to get an AED to the scene of a medical emergency as quickly as possible. Paw Paw Township Supervisor Tom Palenick said, “Paw Paw Village was excited to work with Paw Paw Township in order to secure the two additional Stryker AEDs for use in the village and the Paw Paw community.” He added, “This is another example of the excellent working relationship that the Village of Paw Paw and Township of Paw Paw have and continue to foster and improve upon.” Shown in photo above, from left, Paw Paw Township Clerk Rebecca Payne, Paw Paw Village Police Chief Eric Rottman, Paw Paw Township Treasurer Lisa Zinkil and Paw Paw Township Deputy Supervisor Mark Root.
