Introducing The Shopper-News

If you arrived here from the Monthly Shopper, you are in the right place.
After more than four decades of serving northern Oakland and Livingston counties, the Monthly Shopper is beginning a new chapter. The October editions will be the final publications produced under the Monthly Shopper name and format. Beginning around Nov. 1, they will be replaced by three full-size community newspapers published every other week: the Huron Valley Shopper-News, Lakes Shopper-News and Waterford Shopper-News.
The new publications will continue to feature the local advertising readers have found in the Monthly Shopper since 1981, while adding community news, photographs, features and other local information.
The Huron Valley Shopper-News will serve Highland, Milford, Hartland and White Lake, along with part of New Hudson and the Old US-23 corridor north of Brighton.
The Lakes Shopper-News will serve Wixom, Walled Lake, Commerce, Wolverine Lake, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake, Keego Harbor and West Bloomfield.
The Waterford Shopper-News will serve all of Waterford Township, along with Clarkston’s Dixie Highway corridor.
One of the biggest changes will be how the newspapers reach their readers. The Shopper-News publications will no longer be mailed to every household. Instead, they will be delivered to hundreds of local businesses and other high-traffic locations throughout their coverage areas.
Every copy will remain FREE of charge.
This new approach will allow for more timely delivery, help us serve a larger geographical area and place the newspapers directly into the hands of people who want to read them. It may also bring additional visitors into the local businesses that serve as delivery locations.
Below, you will find a complete list of locations where you can pick up the Huron Valley, Lakes and Waterford Shopper-News. Locations are organized by publication and community to make finding a convenient copy as easy as possible. We will continue updating this list as new delivery locations are added.
Digital subscriptions will also be available at epaper.wilcoxnewspapers.com. For only $20 per year, subscribers can have every issue delivered directly to their email inbox.
The Monthly Shopper was started in 1981 to connect local businesses with local residents. Although the name, format and method of delivery are changing, the new Shopper-News publications will continue that same mission while giving readers more local information and another reason to seek out each issue.
