The Salute to Veterans Weekend also commemorates the bravery of four Army veterans – Jim McCloughan and his three battle buddies from Company C (Charlie Tigers), 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry, 196th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. These courageous individuals fought side by side in one of the fiercest battles during the Vietnam War from May 13-15, 1969.
