“Summer’s End Cruise-in & Eats” took place Aug. 28 in Sturgis. It was organized by Sturgis Downtown Development Authority, as part of its annual entertainment series.
Music was provided by Marjorie Beryl-Shelito, Marie Cherry and Sweet Jonny Knox.
Vendors were Brewhouse BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, MaMazzoni’s and Short N’ Sweet.
Also featured was “Movies on North,” with a showing of “Jurassic World Rebirth.”
Ryan Conrod, downtown event coordinator, said turnout was strong.
“Being the last event of ‘summer,’ we always get a good attendance,” Conrod said.
The cruise-in was a hit, he said. All the available spaces downtown on U.S. 12, about 125, were filled, plus some overflow at Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce, he said.
“There were some new entries that have never been to Sturgis and then ones that tend to come out to the 3 Car Cruise-In events that we do every summer,” Conrod said.
Events remaining on DDA’s 2026 schedule:
Sept. 12: “Bourbon, BBQ & Bands,” noon-7 p.m.
Oct. 23: “Sturgis Spooktacular Fest,” 4-7 p.m.
Nov. 13: “Chocolate in the City,” 5:30-8 p.m.
Dec. 3-5: “Kristkindlmarkt.
Dec. 4-5: “Dashing Through Downtown.”
