PAW PAW – The 40th annual Paw Paw Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at Freshwater Community Church, 600 E. Michigan Ave., Thursday, Nov. 28. The free meal will be available in two different options – dine in or delivery.
This year’s event is supported by local churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals in the community.
For Dine In – Noon to 3 p.m. Doors will open at noon for those who prefer to enjoy their meal with others. Limited seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those attending at this time will be encouraged to make room for others once they have finished their meal. Those attending will be asked to enter the building at Entrance A. Reservations will be unavailable.
For Delivery – Noon to 3 p.m. – For households living in the Paw Paw, Lawton, Mattawan or Gobles areas and unable to travel, volunteers will bring dinner to them. Those wishing for this option are asked to request delivery on the website (pawpawturkey.org). The delivery form, available Nov. 18-27, will close Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. or call United Christian Services during office hours Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon at (269) 415-0767. Delivery requests can be made by calling before noon on Thanksgiving Day.
