Get ready for a delightful morning on August 11, 2024, in South Haven. The South Haven Rotary’s 51st Annual Pancake Breakfast will kick off the day at the South Haven Area Regional Airport, filling the air with the irresistible scent of pancakes and sausages. This long-standing tradition reflects the community’s spirit of togetherness and generosity, offering a chance to savor the simple pleasures of life.
South Haven is known for its picturesque beaches and bountiful blueberry farms, hosting a variety of engaging events like the National Blueberry Festival. This year, the Pancake Breakfast will coincide with the festival, promising an even more vibrant atmosphere and drawing larger crowds.
Attendees can expect a delightful morning filled with culinary favorites, including unlimited servings of fluffy blueberry pancakes, alongside a scrumptious spread of eggs, sausage, and a variety of refreshing beverages. The event will run from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, providing ample time for everyone to partake in this time-honored tradition.
The event is hosted by the South Haven Area Regional Airport, so guests can fly-in or drive-in for a pancake breakfast during South Haven’s National Blueberry Festival. For those seeking adventure the event offers helicopter rides and tethered hot air balloon experiences.
The breakfast is a community gathering that brings together residents and visitors alike. The airfield transforms into a bustling hub where people can enjoy their breakfast with a view of airplanes taking flight and landing. The event also features a car show hosted by Team Thunder & Lightning Car Club, showcasing an array of antique, muscle, and sports cars.
Dan Sanborn said, “Fly in or drive in for the South Haven Rotary’s 51st annual blueberry pancake breakfast held at the South Haven Area Regional Airport. The award-winning Airport Authority will also be celebrating its 40th anniversary. Breakfast tickets are $12. Helicopter rides are $40, and tethered balloon rides are $20. This Sunday, August 11th from 7am-12pm. Southwestern ramp of our airfield.”
The Rotary Pancake Breakfast is also a testament to the spirit of giving. Proceeds from the breakfast support various community programs, demonstrating the Rotary Club’s commitment to making a positive impact in South Haven and beyond.
Children under the age of 5 eat breakfast for free, $5 for children aged 5-12, and $12 for adults. It’s a small price to pay for an experience that offers so much joy and community connection.
