SOUTH HAVEN—The Allegan girls tennis team turned in a dominant performance in a SAC showdown against host South Haven on Thursday, April 25.
Not only did the Tigers win all eight flights, but they did so without dropping more than three total games at any flight.
Allegan posted wins of 6-0, 6-0 at six flights: No. 1 singles Addy Fales; No. 2 singles Bristyn Neldon; No. 1 doubles Ragan Meeter/Luna Ruiz; No. 2 doubles Taylor Fuller/Hanna Kievet; No. 3 doubles Madison Cook/Ireland Dewey; and No. 4 doubles Nora Bonin/Lilli Kelley.
No. 3 singles Sophia Augustine won 6-1, 6-2, while No. 4 singles Lilly Dame won 6-2, 6-0.
On Monday, Tuesday, April 23, the Tigers fell a little short against longtime rival Holland Christian, dropping that match 5-3.
Fales (6-4, 6-2) and Neldon (6-1, 6-2) earned flight wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. At No. 1 doubles, Meeter/Ruiz secured a hard-fought 7-6, 1-6, 11-9 win.
