Area towns to hold Memorial Day parades

GOBLES – Gobles will hold a Memorial Day Parade at 9 a.m., Monday, May 26, that will travel down State Street (M-40). Lineup will begin at the Gobles High School parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
LAWRENCE – Lawrence will hold a Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m., Monday, May 26, with a service to follow at Lawrence Village Park. Over 1,000 luminaries, representing Lawrence area military veterans, will be on display at Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, at approximately 8:30 p.m.
LAWTON – The Village of Lawton will hold a Memorial Day Parade, Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m. All participants are welcome – no application is necessary. Participants are asked to gather at 9 a.m. in the Lawton Fire Department parking lot. The parade lineup will start at the corner of 4th Street and Main Street, proceeding down Main Street, continuing on 2nd Street, and concluding at Oak Grove Cemetery, where a ceremony will follow. MATTAWAN – A Memorial Day Parade will be held in Mattawan, Monday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m., with parade lineup at 10 a.m. at the Antwerp Township Hall. A service will follow in Mattawan Memorial Park, downtown, at 11 a.m.
