‘Art Around Town’ auction underway Entry period for new selections opens April 1

Sturgis DDA is auctioning works from 2025 “Art Around Town.”
The auction is part of “Winter Wine Down,” which takes place 5:30-9 p.m. March 20.
Online bidding is accessible at bit.ly/40QLrDM. Artwork also is displayed at Open Door Gallery.
“Winter Wine Down” features sampling opportunities and special deals within the social district, plus live music at participating businesses.
Continuing the annual local art series, submission period for 2026 “Art Around Town” is April 1-11.
Requirements for entry:
Minimum age for participants: 16
Minimum size of artwork: 8×10
Maximum entries per person: 2
Original art only
Must reside within 30-mile radius of Sturgis
2D media only
Entry fee: $10 per piece.
Submit entries to Open Door Gallery, 101 W. Chicago Road, Sturgis. An identity form is required, available at ODG.
Seventeen works will be selected. They are displayed for one year at various locations in downtown Sturgis.
Entry fee goes to DDA for the cost of the “Art Around Town” project and to Open Door Gallery for its participation as a non-profit studio.
