Belgium newspaper staff visit county museum, Lawton and Mattawan for upcoming story

Patrick Vincent, a reporter, and Robin Fasseur, a photographer, both employed by the Gazet van Antwerpen, the newspaper of the city and province of Antwerpen, Belgium, traveled to Van Buren County on Sunday and Monday where they visited and took photos at the Van Buren County Museum, Hartford, where they met with Sandy Merchant, museum president, the Antwerp Township Hall and Lawton Village Hall. While at the Antwerp Township Hall, the two met with Bonnie Osborne, Antwerp Township treasurer, and Chantel Reyna, Antwerp Township clerk. Traveling to Lawton, the two met with Lawton Village Manager Todd Hackenberg. The two are visiting seven places in the United States that have the names and places in their city and province. Hoboken, New Jersey; Westerlo and Antwerp, New York; Antwerp, Ohio; Antwerp, Mich; Belgium and Kiel Wisconsin. The two are developing a series of stories during the summer months.
