The weather forecast was for snow on November 28, 2025, and that the snow would intensify between November 29th and 30th. As predicted, the snow began, and so did the Allegan City snowplow team. Beginning on Friday evening, the plow could be seen clearing streets. By Saturday with the white stuff accumulating quickly, the plowing became very strategic.
The mound in front of the Allegan Public Library began to grow, as did the hill next to the Water Street Parking Lot and the ridge along Walnut Street.
Because of the efforts of the city workers, the streets and many sidewalks of Allegan were extremely passable by Monday morning as workers began filing into work.
A special thank you to the crew that spent their Thanksgiving weekend clearing streets while residents enjoyed football games or Disney movies. You are appreciated.
