Burr Oak Heritage Days Festival continues this weekend 

Partial roundup of remaining events. 

Today, July 26

10 a.m.: Antique tractor country cruise, begins at Railroad Park. 
Noon-1 p.m.: Bike-a-thon, Church Park; registration 11:30 a.m.-noon. 
1:30-3:30 p.m.: Kids Day, Burr Oak School.
4-4:30 p.m.: Kiddie Duck Derby, behind the school. 
4-7 p.m.: Antique tractors and wheat-thrashing display, Railroad Park.
4-8 p.m.: Chicken dinner, presented by senior class of 2025; also food vendors at Front Street parking lot.
5-6:30 p.m.: Spaghetti dinner, Missionary Church, free.
6:30-7:30 p.m.: Variety show and Outstanding Service Award, Lutheran Church. 
8-9 p.m.: Circus-themed contest, community tent
9 p.m.-midnight: DJ Sparxx entertainment, for ages 21 and up, community tent.

Saturday, July 27

All day: Old-fashioned farm machinery demonstrations, Railroad Park. 
7:30-10:30 a.m.: Breakfast, Methodist Church. 
8:30-9:30 p.m. “Run Giraffe Off” 5K run, begins at village center; registration 7:45-8:15 a.m.
8:35-8:50 a.m., Kids’ fun run, downtown.
11 a.m.-noon: Parade, line-up begins at 9:30 a.m. at Boyer Field.
12:30-1:30 p.m.: Author Betsy Bird and illustrator David Small meet-and-greet, gazebo at Front Street parking lot.
Noon: Firefighters hot dog sale, fire station. 
Noon-4 p.m.: Inflatables, Railroad Park. 
1-3:30 p.m.: Tractor pedal-pull, for ages 3-15, village hall/fire station.
1:3-2 p.m., 4-4:30 p.m. and 6-6:30 p.m.: Blackwell’s circus-performer Jay Blackwell, near community tent.
1-4 p.m.: Historical Burr Oak tours, departs from Front Street lot.
1-5 p.m.: Car demolition, downtown.
1-5 p.m.: Adult cornhole tournament, Railroad Park, registration noon-1 p.m.
1-5 p.m.: Children’s rides, Railroad Park, free.
2-5 p.m.: Mud volleyball, Railroad Park, registration 1-2 p.m.
2-6 p.m.: Rob Maystead caricature drawings, community tent, $10.
2-6 p.m.: Historical walk challenge, register at Prairie River Flower Shop. 
3-3:30 p.m. and 5-5:30 p.m.: “Hula Hoop Extraordinaire” Kylee Lipinski. 
4-8 p.m.: Tethered hot-air balloon ride, 217 8th St.
5-6:30 p.m.: Junior cornhole tournament, basketball court, (three age divisions, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15); registration 4-5 p.m.
7-7:30 p.m.: Port-a-potty pulls (youth division), Front Street.
7:30-8 p.m.: Port-a-potty pulls (adult division), Front Street.
8:30-9 p.m.: “Flames of Dance” fire show, near community tent.
9 p.m.-midnight: Six To One, for ages 21 and up, community tent.
9:30-10 p.m.: Balloon glow, school playground.
10-10:30 p.m.: Fireworks, playground.

Sunday, July 28

10-11 a.m.: Doughnuts and coffee, Church Park. 
11 a.m.-noon: Community church service, Church Park; lunch follows the service.
