Wayland Union High School held their annual Coaches vs. Cancer games this past Friday, January 31st.
Coaches vs. Cancer (CvC) is a nationwide fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, led by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Participating high schools typically dedicate two varsity basketball games, (one boys, one girls), where they hold a variety of different promotions, of which the proceeds go to the Cancer Society.
Wayland began the festivities with a Coaches vs. Cancer assembly, consisting of Ro Sham Bo, musical chairs, a mattress relay, the revealing of the staff Masked Singers, and a performance by the Varsity Dance Team.
Later in the day, both basketball games were played.
Overall, Wayland Union High School raised a whopping $22,000 for the fundraiser.
