Carol Ann Wiley, 71 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born May 2, 1950 in Plainwell, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Ethel (Fletcher) Fuller and the husband of Dale A. Wiley. Carol and Dale married on Friday the 13th of September 1974, which to most, Friday the 13th may seem like an unlikely day to marry, but they were blessed with a 47 year marriage and raised two loving sons together. She was a true animal lover (other than snakes, she hated snakes!), loved anything Elvis, and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially cookies and goodies with family members. While the boys were in school, they could count on their mom to be their biggest cheerleader, always attending their sporting events. Carol and Dale enjoyed taking car rides together and taking in the scenery around them. During the Christmas season they especially loved viewing all the festive decorations and lights. She and Dale were also on several bowling leagues in their younger days. In Carol’s spare time, one could find her working on her puzzles, sewing, or doing her crafts. One thing about Carol was that she always felt she was right, and it became quite humorous to others that even if she knew she was wrong, she’d try to prove to you that she was right. It brought much laughter in the house. Being only 5’2”, most wouldn’t expect Carol to be the little spitfire that she was, but she lived life with gusto and made the most of her time here on earth.
Those left to cherish their memories are her loving husband, Dale; her two sons, Leon (Amy) Wiley and Stuart Wiley; two granddaughters, Allison and Olivia Wiley; and one sister, Jenny (Ron) Pillars.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Rosie, Donna, Bea and Pat; and one brother, Raymond.
Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
