The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce will have a new Executive Director after Kathy Wagaman has led the agency for the past 13 years.
Beginning March 1, 2025, Brandy Key, who has been the Community Liaison for more than seven years, will step in as the new Executive Director.
“From the time Brandy was hired, she has incorporated professionalism and dedication into her role, and she truly deserves this opportunity,” said Wagaman, the outgoing Executive Director. “Her passion for our community and her drive to continuously improve will undoubtedly serve the Chamber well in this new leadership role.”
Brandy Key is a lifelong resident of South Haven, the proud mother of two boys, Jaden and Brenden, and she has deep roots in the community.
“I want to express my gratitude to Kathy Wagaman for her leadership and dedication,” Key said in an interview after her selection was announced. “Kathy’s support and guidance have been instrumental in my growth, and I am excited to continue the work she has done in the community and the Chamber.”
Key emphasized that because she has worked at the Chamber for the past seven years that the transition will be seamless. “Over the years I have been fortunate to learn, grow, and build lasting relationships with our members and the community,” Key said. “It will be a smooth transition.”
Looking to the future, Key said, “I am excited to step into this leadership role and work alongside the Chamber Board and all our local businesses to ensure South Haven remains a vibrant thriving community.”
She said that because of her lifelong commitment to the community and her role as a mother to two sons, she wants to continue to grow the community. “As a long-standing resident of South Haven and a proud sports mom, I have a deep connection to this community,” she said. “My two boys remind me every day of the importance of giving back and supporting the next generation of leaders.”
