Clare bowlers defeat Harrison

CLARE — Clare’s bowling team picked up a 21-9 win over Harrison on Wednesday in Jack Pine Bowling Conference action.
Clare had baker games of 78 and 144 for 222 total and had four total team points. The other 17 points came from the regular games in which Clare’s team totals were 653 and 621 for 1,274.
Clare bowlers were Jack Meissner (140-134) Charlie Meissner (121), Justin Harradine (151-133), Mason Johnson (122) and Layne Livermore (120).
Harrison won six points from Baker games and three from the regular games. Its baker scores were 120 and 188 for 238 while the team totals were 551 and 564 for 1,115;
Harrison bowlers were Kegan Chaskey (109, 111), Evan Umphrey, Skylar Chaskey, Kegan Woolworth, Kayden Woodworth, Kayden Hendren, Dominic Coffin and Damon Brown (127-109).
Bowling final scores from the baker games and regular games add up to 30 points with the team which gets a majority of those points taking the victory.
“There were not really any high scores as both teams struggled,” coach Kelli Dingo said.
