CLARE — Clare’s women’s track team won the Doug Steward Memorial Invitational at St. Louis on Friday.
The Clare women had 142.5 points to top the 10-team field. Alma took second place with 124.5 points.
In the boys standings, Alma had 186.5 for first place. Clare and Tri County were second with 93 points apiece.
Leading the Clare boys were Jacob Halicek with first in the 200 meters (22.7), Tyrie Broussard, Jayden Commet, Dustin McPhee and Elijah Muma was second in the400-meter (44.85), Ethan Reeves was first in the pole vault (13-6) and Conan Weeks won the long jump (21-4).
For the Clare girls, Abby Boyd was first in the 100 meters (13.66), Sophia Buzzelli was second in the 800 meters (2:31.77), Leah Leis was second (5:44.87) and Ava Robinson third (5:48.04) in the 1,600-meters, Elizabeth Leather was third (12:44.06) and Emma Stotzel fourth (13:01.17) in the 3,200 meters.
Patience Fouchey was third (19.53). Brenna Campbell was second in the 300-meter hurdles (54.18). Relee Leguno, Relee Legodos, Relee Legotres and Relee Legoquatro won the 4×100 relay (53.94) and were second in the 4×200 relay (1:54.48) and second in the 4×400 relay (4:31.51) and second in the 4×800 relay (10:13.25).
Catherine Taft (8-6) and Caitlyn Harris (8-0) were one-two in the pole vault. Abby Boyd (15-7-5) and Skyler Kingsley (14-5) were two-three in the long jump.
