AnnMarie Green was a state runner-up for the Clare Pioneers girls wrestling team on Friday and Saturday during the girls division finals at Ford Field in Detroit.
Green started the tournament at 235 pounds by pinning Elloise Norman of Waterviet in 3:19.
She advanced to the quarterfinals and pinned Azaria Lane of Dundee in 4:48.
Green advanced to the semifinal round and pinned Sydney Smith of Portage Central.
Green faced Hallie Spears in the title match and was pinned in 1:42.
For the season, Green had a 29-4 record. Her high school record was 142-50.
Clare had two boys wrestlers at the state finals but neither were able to place in the top eight of their classes for all-state honors.
Chris Green was at 157 pounds. He lost a major decision 14-1 to Bryson Boucher of Lake Odessa Lakewood and dropped a 13-10 verdict to Deandre Ellis of Comstock.
Kyle McGraw of Clare was at 113 pounds and pinned Blake Wallace of Whitehall in 3:22. He was pinned in 3:32 by Colt Robbins of Montrose and in 40 seconds by William Lawson of Yale.
