CLARE — Clare’s girls wrestling team had three wrestlers compete in the Chippewa Hills Lady Warrior Invitational on Dec. 21.
AnnMarie Green took first place at 235 pounds. She got a first-round bye and then she had three straight pins to take first.
Green pinned Peyton Agheneza of Grand Ledge in 2:16, Mya Kukulski of Bay City John Glenn in 3:51 and Layne Churchill of Marshall in 55 seconds.
Kennedy Boxx was at 125 pounds for Clare and was 2-2 She pinned Natalie Verstreate of Shepherd in 1:24, and Niko Roig-Bonilla in 1:24.
Boxx lost to Aryanna Hengtebeck 15-1 and to Roni Rivard in 3:24.
Clare’s Addison Ames at 155 was 1-2. She pinned Halie Grawherr of John Glenn in 1:20. She was pinned by Sidney Shackelford in 1:18 and by Hannah Charles of Pine River in 4:03.
