CLARE — Clare’s golf season featured a team which was third place in the Jack Pine Conference this season.
For all-conference honors, Pierson Gallagher was first team; Bryce Wieferich was second team; Kolten Pung was second team and Dane Kruskamp is honorable mention
For team awards, Bryce Wieferich was MVP and won the leadership award and Pierson Gallagher took the Coaches Award.
Clare was fourth in the regionals. Wieferich shot a 74 and was second to lead Clare in the regionals, Pierson Gallagher was 11th with a 79, Kolten Pung was 34th with a 88, Dane Kruskamp was 50th with a 93, Ethan Rogers was 74th with a 102.
At the Jack Pine Conference 18-hole match at Maple Leaf Golf Course to end the league season. Clare was second.
Wieferich had a 73, for fourth place, Pierson Gallagher was fifth place with 75, Kolten Pung 11th an 83, Ethan Pung 18th with an 86, Michael Castles 46th with a 99.
Clare was also eighth at the Lansing Christian Invitational.
Wieferich was 20th with an 84, followed by Dane Kruskamp whio was 30th with an 88, Dane Kruskamp 30th with 88, Kate Pung 50th with a 93 and Ethan Rogers 71st with a 105.
Clare shot a 175 for third place at a previous Jack Pine jamboree. It was a nine-hole event. Wieferech was second with a 41, Rogers fourth with a 43, Pung eighth with a 44, Gallagher 16th with a 47, and Kruskamp 27th with 50.
