CLARE — The Jack Pine Conference had a match at Pinconning’s Maple Leaf Golf Club this week.
Clare shot 317 in the 18-hole match for its best score in over 30 years, according to coach Chris Fedewa of Clare.
Individual scorers were Bryce Wieferich 73, Pierson Gallagher 75, Kolton Pung 83
and Ethan Rogers 86.
Shepherd won the event with a 313. Clare finished league play in third place.
“Congratulations to our all conference players, Pierson Gallagher – 1st team, Bryce Wieferich and Kolton Pung – 2nd team and Dane Kruskamp – Honorable Mention.
On Thursday, May 8, Clare was at Bullock Creek Curry West Golf Course and Clare finished sixth with a 353. Shepherd won the event with a 333
Scorers for Clare were Pierson Gallagher 83; Dane Kruskamp 86; Kolton Pung 87 and Ethan Rogers 97.
Clare on Friday, May 9 was a Day 1 of Mt. Pleasant 36 at Mt. Pleasant Country Club Gallagher had a 79 (4th overall); Kolten Pung 97, Dane Kruskamp 98and Michael Castle 111

Clare finished 18th with a 363
