Clare golfers first at Shepherd

CLARE — Clare’s golf team was first at Shepherd on Monday at Pleasant Hills Golf Course.
Itwas a nine-hole tournament with Clare at 210, Shepherd at 224, Saginaw Heritage 232 and Clare No. 2 team at 238.
For the Clare No. 1 team, Kade Alexander had a 47, Breez Yarger 51, Ella Pettersch 55, Brooklyn Parsons 57, Joelle English 59 and Jersey Peek 65.
For the second Clare team, Rayna Kruskamp had a 58, Madison Fischer 59, Melanie Schocknesse 60, Rainn Bryant 61, Tesa Schulz 63 and Lauren Louch 69.
Clare played in the Lady Wolfpack Invitational on Saturday.
The two Clare team of Jane Keel and Ella Petttersch had scores of 115 and 124. Malorie Louch and Kaitlyn Newkirk were both at 119.
A nine-hole conference tournament was hosted by Farwell on Thursday at Eagle Glen Golf Course.
Leaders for Farwell were Jacey Stover (50), Anna Van Buskirk (53), Chloe Miller (65), Ahnarae Bailey (73) and Gabbie Borowski (81).
Leaders for Clare were Jane Krell (59), Kally Tocco (59), Natalie Fischer (61), Jordan Green (62) and Kaitlyn Newkirk (65),
