CLARE – Clare golfers took ninth place over the weekend at the Clare Invitational.
The tournament started on Friday, May 10 at the Pohlcat in Mount Pleasant.
Clare shot a 356. Scorers were Bryce Weiferich 84. Pierson Gallagher 86, Aydin Winter 90 and Dane Kruskamp, 95.
Day two of the event was at Bucks Run. Clare shot a 350.
Pierson Gallagher shot an 82 followed by Bryce Wieferich. 84, Aydin Winter 89 and Dane Kruskame 95.
Farwell golf
Farwell’s golf team played on May 13 at Quest Golf Course in the MMGC Invitational at Houghton Lake.
Houghton Lake was first with 175 while Farwell was second with 193.
It was a nine-hole event.
Farwell scorers were Garrett Baxter 45, Zane Hanna 46, Chase Ison 49, Marshall Gauld 53, Illia Kryvenko 53 and Brayden Travis 55.
The MMGC championship event will be played in May 20 at Quest Golf Course, beginning at 9 a.m. The Division 4 regional for Farwell will be on May 29 at Mount Pleasant Country Club.
