Clare runners are second

CLARE — Clare’s boys and girls cross country teams wee both second on Wednesday in Jack Pine Conference action at Ogemaw Heights
Shepherd won both meets.
For the Clare boys:
Clayton Peacock was ninth (17:17.42). Connor Schmidt 10th (17:29.18) Sutton Klaus 14th (17:36.96), Christian Villa-Bilton 17th (17:53.30), Jospeh Haupt 21st (18:05.16) and Matthew Rodgers (18:39.97) was 26th.
For the girls, Sophia Buzzelli was fourth (20:17.28). Lauren Leis sixth (20:36.85), Allison Villa-bolton seventh (20:40;10). Emma Stotzel 13th (21:1.46). Olivia Forsberg 16th (21:35.40). Ava Robinson 25th (22:33.61) and Elizabeth Letherer 26th (22:41.86).
For the boys, Harrison was sixth and Farwell ninth among 10 teams.
Logan Young was sixth for Harrison (16;59.1), Malachi Coulson 59th (20:35.87). Kaiden Eichhorn 61st (20:38.93), Cory Westbrook 62nd (20:42.82) and Gavin Jansen 79th (22:10.97),
For Farwell, Kegan Terrian was 29th (18:52.39). Conner Cousineau 30th (18:53.78), Marcos Allen Quero 66th (20:56.66). Callen Mogg was 73rd (21:37.09). Paxton Terrain was 91st (22:58.90).
Evalynne Bell was 30th for the Farwell girls (23:00.77), Arie Workman 50th (25:04.10) and Hope Purvis 52nd (25:08.36) for Harrison.
