Clare ski teams win conference

CLARE — Both Clare boys and gils team won their conference meets on Monday.
“This is the girls eighth year winning the conference. This is the boys 1st year since 2021,” Clare coach Tim Gariglio said. “The boys dominated the field today by winning the meet by 40 points.This was the biggest point differential all season.
“The girls also continued to dominate as they have all season. Their hard work all season paid off tonight. They proved that they are getting better than their competition by winning by such a large margin.”
Clare boys were ranked first in the giant slalom. Mitch Randle was second, followed by Nick Mason in third, Elijah Wentworth in fourth, Tristan Strouse in fifth, Preston Bailey in eighth and Gabe Pettersch in 13th.
The Clare girls were first in giant slalom. Ivy Russell took first as an individual while Ella Pettersch was second Grace Russell third, Kendall Parsons fourth, Heidy Schunk fifth and Ellie Blystone seventh.
Clare girls were also first in slalom. Russell was first, Pettersch second, Russell third, Heidy Schunk fourth, Brooklyn Zemko sixth and Kendall Parsons ninth.
In the boys slalom. Mitch Randle was first, Gabe Pettersch third, Nick Mason fourth, Tristan Strouse fifth, Jordan Gariglio sixth and Elijah Wentworth ninth.
