CKLAE — Clare’s wrestling team defeated Charlotte 39-26 at the Mount Pleasant team tournament on Dec. 14.
For Clare, Devin Wheeler (126) lost 17-11 to Lane Moore; the Pioneers forfeited at 132 to Isaiah Keith; Dalton Kruskamp fell to Daniel Rodriguez (138) on a pin in 1;43; Bryson Hernandez (144) pinned Carter Moore in 5”32; Dustin McPhee (150) was pinned in 51 seconds by Tyler Densmore; Marek Michalski (165) won a 7-2 decision over Branden Tyler, Cooper Weissand (215) pinned James Smith in 47 seconds; Calvin Clark (190) pinned Alejandra Williams in 47 seconds;
AnnMarie Green (285) lost a technical fall 18-2 to Jordan Ellison; Jayden Jordan (106) won by forfeit and Kyle McGraws pinned Xavier Pettigrew in 1:17.
There was a double forfeit at 120 pounds as neither team entered a wrestler.
Clare los to Hastings 70-11. Bryson Hernandez won for Clare at 144 pounds with a 20-2 win over Liam Renner. Marek Michalski (165) pinned Donny Smith in 2:32.
