CLARE —Clare’s wrestling season ended at home on Feb. 11 with a 57-18 loss to Chippewa Hills in a Division 3 district semifinal match.
Shepherd beat Chippewa Hills in the finals.
Marshal Strouse won for Clare at 190 pounds with a pin in 1:41 over Landen Smith.
Kyle McGraw won a forfeit at 120 pounds. Isaiah Hill had a pin at 1:11 in the 150-pound class over Ethan Keller.
Otis Fry (175) was pinned by Liam Franklin in 22 seconds. Jacksoin Boxx (285) was decisions 2-1 by Brayden Towne.
Clare forfeited tag 157, 144, 138, 132, 113 and 106 plus at 215.
In the Jack Pine Conference meet on Feb. 7, Kyle McGraw was second at 113 pounds. Isaiah Hilliard was fourth at 165 and Jackson Boxx fourth at 285.
