PAW PAW – The annual Paw Paw Days and Classic Car and Truck Show will be held Saturday, July 23, in downtown Paw Paw, featuring a ribbon cutting to officially mark the completion of the village’s streetscape/road work on Michigan Avenue, a car show, music, an arts and craft fair, sidewalk sales, and more.
The downtown streetscape celebration will feature sidewalk sales and in-store specials all day, Saturday. A streetscape dedication and ribbon cutting will be held at 4 p.m. There will be hourly drawings for prizes.
Kids Zone will be in downtown Paw Paw from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with inflatables and activities for families.
Dancin’ in the Street will get underway from noon to 4 p.m. with Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies, from noon to 4 p.m., followed by the Black River Band from 4:30 to 9 p.m.
The car show will be held Saturday, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Paw Paw. Same day car registration will be held from 7 to 9 a.m., with awards at 2:30 p.m. More than 30 trophies will be handed out, with dash plaques and goody bags for car show entrants.
On Friday, July 22, at 6 p.m., the Carol Motycka Classic Memorial Cruise will get underway as it cruises through Paw Paw and the surrounding area. Pre-registration is $12, due by July 12, with $15 day of show.
Vendors will be set up in the Van Buren County Park, downtown, as well as food trucks to welcome approximately 5,000 people expected to take part in the two-day event.
