Cold weather fails to dampen spirit at LaFayette Day

Saturday morning was cool but the that did not stop a large crowd from showing up for LaFayette which took place on the courthouse square. The crowd was able to enjoy food from many vendors, crafts of all sorts and singing from local talent.

After years past where COVID interrupted the event it appeared everyone was excited to attend the festival this year.

Lyn Oliver the organizer of the event said, “Thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed LaFayette Day for Valley Haven School! It was very cold, windy and even a little rain but when the sun came out it warmed up. What a crowd came out. It was still windy, but it was a great day. We enjoyed the entertainment, seeing people we have not seen in years, lots of crafts and lots of food. We as a committee and team for Valley Haven thank everyone. We plan to build on this event and make next year even better. We were so happy to be able to have it because we have not had one since 2019. Again THANK YOU ALL for supporting such a great cause.”
