A food plant in Fennville is expected to close this summer.
Chicago-based Conagra Brands confirmed the pending closure to News 8 Wednesday, saying it told workers it would happen by the end of June.
“This decision was based on the need to operate our overall operations and facility footprint as effectively and efficiently as possible,” the company said in a statement.
The plant employs about 85 people, Conagra said.
Conagra owns a number of food brands, including Birds Eye, Duncan Hines, Healthy Choice, Marie Callendar’s, Reddi-wip and Slim Jim.
