CTE Health Occupations students excel at Regional HOSA competition

Students from the Clare-Gladwin Career & Technical Education (CTE) Health Occupations program demonstrated their skills and knowledge at the recent regional Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition, held at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU). A total of 31 CTE Health Occupations students participated in 16 different events, competing against more than 1,000 students from across the region.
Six students earned top honors and will advance to the state-level competition this spring.
The students recognized for their achievements include:
Raegan McCartney (Gladwin Community Schools): 1st place in Health Informatics
Braelynn DeLise (Beaverton Jr/Sr High School): Human Growth and Development
Cassidy Steinert (Farwell Area Schools): Human Growth and Development
Nolan Underhill (Farwell): 1st place in Pharmacy Science
Calvin Scoby (Harrison Community High School): 3rd place in Medical Spelling
Tamara Bennett (Harrison): Medical Spelling
