Isabel Garcia

Deputies from the Clare County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 25-year-old woman early Sunday morning after locating suspected methamphetamine during an investigation of a suspicious vehicle in Hayes Township.
On February 22, 2026, at approximately 2:07 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on Bilkare Street near Clare Avenue in Hayes Township for a report of an unknown vehicle parked in a yard.
Upon arrival, deputies located a black 2007 Kia Rondo occupied by Isabel Marie Garcia, 25, of Interlochen. Garcia was found sleeping in the driver’s seat. She told deputies she was waiting for a friend but was determined to be at the wrong residence.
During contact with Garcia, a deputy observed a bag containing a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine. After identifying Garcia, deputies discovered she had an outstanding warrant from Wexford County. She was detained on the warrant while deputies conducted a search of the vehicle.
During the search, deputies seized the suspected methamphetamine, which field-tested positive and weighed approximately 17 grams. A digital scale with methamphetamine residue and empty packaging materials commonly used for narcotics distribution were also located inside the vehicle.
Garcia was arrested and lodged at the Clare County Jail. She was charged with one count of Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine Second or Subsequent Notice and one count of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a License.
Garcia was arraigned in the 80th District Court, where bond was set at $40,000 cash/surety, 10 percent allowed.
