PAW PAW – It was recently brought to the attention of Paw Paw Public Schools and reported to local law enforcement that several dumpsters around PPPS bond project construction sites have been the target of missing materials, equipment or other unscrupulous activities, which is illegal and unfortunate.
“Thankfully, in one situation that occurred at a construction site dumpster, a family on bikes keenly observed a situation as it was unfolding, promptly called the police, and shared a license plate number and vehicle photos. The individual(s) were identified, and charges have been pressed,” said PPPS Superintendent Jeremy Davison.
Davison added, “In addition to the dozens of security cameras in and outside the buildings, we are asking for the public’s help in reporting any suspicious activity in or around the building sites on campus. If you see something suspicious, please contact the local police or call the superintendent’s office at (269) 415-5200.”
He concluded, “We appreciate the public’s cooperation in showing respect for the construction sites around our district. Those sites, the equipment and materials left outside, and the contents of the dumpsters are all considered private property, and it is illegal for anyone to take things from those sites. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.”
