The Allegan Fire Department responded to 237 Marshall Street at 5am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Upon arrival, the crew found the attached two-stall garage engulfed in flames. The residents, a husband, wife and 2 children, exited the home safely. By 6:30am, the fire was extinguished, but the 2 cars inside the garage and truck parked just outside were a total loss. Fire Chief Nick Brink shared that the origin of the fire appears to be electrical, but he will continue the investigation.
