The Farwell boys basketball team wasn’t able to get much going in their road non-conference loss at Lake City on Monday. The Eagles fell behind by double digits after the first quarter and never recovered, falling 78-37.
In the first quarter, Landen Heller was able to score five points and Jeremy Walkiewicz hit a three, but the Eagles trailed 22-10 after one.
In the second Heller hit a pair of threes and Garrett Baxter hit a pair from deep as well, though the Trojans continued to pull away to get a 52-26 lead at the half.
Heller scored all seven of Farwell’s points in the third, as Lake City claimed a 74-33 lead with just the fourth left to play.
Leading the way for the Eagles was Heller with 18 points, Baxter finished with six, Austin Lake netted four, Walkiewicz had three and with two apiece was Rylee Carncross, James Grant and Kaiden Ingraham.
Farwell (0-5 overall) was at home against Meridian on Thursday, heads to Shepherd on Tuesday and hosts Harrison on Thursday.
