FARWELL — Farwell lost 37-8 in a home game to Harbor Springs on Oct. 24 to end the regular football season.
“We took the opening drive 64 yards and didn’t score. We stalled out on the 5-yard line,” Farwell coach Travis Waddell said. “Harbor Springs drove 95 yards in 16 plays to score. They then had a 12-play drive to score again, making it 16-0 at half.
“Farwell would muster a score in the third to make it 22-8. But that was as close as we came.”
Zane Hanna had 58 yards rushing and a touchdown for Farwell.
Marcus Hunziker had 12 tackles. “Tough loss, our boys played hard, but it was not enough tonight,” Farewell coach Travis Waddell said.
Harbor Springs ended its season at 5-4. Farwell’s final record is 3-6. The Eagles opened the season with wins of 42-21 over Hesperia and 58-0 over Detroit Osburn.
After losses to Beaverton 54-36 and St. Louis 28-12, Farwell got back over the .500 mark with a 20-7 win over Pinconning. Farwell then dropped its final four games of the season.
