FARWELL — Farwell boys lost to Saginaw Arts & Sciences in overtime 48-46.
Farwell had quarter totals of 9, 19, 25 and 43 going into the overtime while Saginaw A&S had 16, 30, 36 and 43
“We started off slow and played really poor defense in the first half,” Farwell coach Mike Rocha said. “We made halftime adjustments and fought our way back in the second half. Dylan Mitchell hit a buzzer beater at the end of the fourth to send it to overtime.
“We had some unfortunate bounces and fouls in OT that cost us. I’m disappointed in the loss but proud of the boys for finding a way to get back in the game.”
Ayden Barkley and Seth Burkhart had eight points apiece for the Eagles. Brayden Travis had six points while Blake Sholes and Michell both had five.
Farwell is 1-7 and lost 65-26 to Sanford Meridian on Jan. 7. The Eagles have home games on Jan. 9 with Beaverton and on Jan. 14 with Shepherd.
