Farwell pastor charged with sexually assaulting youth

A months long investigation led to the arrest of a 57-year-old pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church in Farwell, Harold Norman Cole, Jr.
The Clare County Sheriff’s Office got the report of Criminal Sexual Conduct second degree on March 5th of this year, saying the CSC occurred between Cole and a Juvenile male.
The victim reported the incident to authorities in the state where he lives, a press release from the Sheriff’s Office said.
2nd degree CSC involves sexual contact with force or coercion, or with a victim who is under 13 years old. The crime is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
After Detectives conducted in investigation in the crime and obtained a warrant, Harold Cole was arrested November 1st, and lodged in the Clare County Jail.
He was arraigned by the 80th District Court and released on a $20,000, 10 percent bond and he was released with a GPS tether.
He will be back in court November 18 this month to determine if he should stand trial.
