FARWELL — Farwell’s powerlifting team had several place finishers over the weekend at the state finals.
Coach Owen Murphy said Ivy Frisch placed seventh, Lindsay Esterline was 10th along with Anna VanBuskirk, Chloe Miller was 13th, Allena Wunderlich was 14th, Jacey Stover 15th and Ethan Morford 19th.
“The season went very well,” Murphy said. “It was my most successful seasons since taking over as head coach. It was my biggest group of state lifters in both the JV and varsity levels.
“I will have quite a few variety lifters returning as seniors that had very successful seasons. The junior class coming up with compliment them very well. The JV teams will have a good returning sophomore class, most of which competed at the state meet.”
Farwell’s powerlifting program participated recently in the junior varsity state meet.
Mya Yarhouse tied for 11th in the state while Savannah Krabil placed 22nd, Ayden Barkley was 14th, Hayden Roberts place fifth, Marcus Hunziker was 18th and Braylon Baylee was 20th.
Matthew Crawford was 22nd.
