FENNVILLE—Trinity Solis scored a rushing touchdown and Carter Thompson threw for a TD for the Fennville football team in the third quarter of the game with New Buffalo on Friday, Sept. 26.
That was the good news for the Blackhawks. The bad news was that those were the only points Fennville was able to score as they dropped the 42-14 decision.
Solis scored on a 1-yard run and made good on the ensuing conversion run before Thompson connected with Ashton Halcomb for an 89-yard touchdown. That cut Fennville’s 28-0 halftime deficit in half at 28-14.
Solis finished with 101 yards on nine carries, while Thompson went 8-of-26 passing for 189 yards. Solis was on the receiving end of six of those completions for 97 yards.
Ethan Rosencrans led Fennville with 8 tackles, while Ashton Senters had 5.5
