A rental home in Rosebush was destroyed in a fire Monday afternoon that gutted the building.
Isabella Northeast’s Fire Department was called to the house on South Street in Rosebush at about 4:40 p.m.
According to an article in the Morning Sun, Assistant Fire Chief Rob Evans said no one was injured in the blaze, although they didn’t know how many people were in the house at the time.

Reportedly it took 20 firefighters from three fire departments about an hour to extinguish the blaze. Mobile Medical Ambulance and two other departments, Clare Fire Department and Nottawa-Sherman Fire Department, assisted Isabella Northeast at the scene. Firefighters were on the scene for about four hours.
A neighbor, Linda Kerkau, said that the home was a rental.
Neither the owner of the property or the tenants were named. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
