High school football players and coaches from Saugatuck joined their counterparts across the state in preparing for the upcoming season on Monday, Aug. 11.
That was the first day official practice was allowed by the Michigan High School Athletic Association, with the first several days dedicated to conditioning. Pads will be allowed later in the week.
Saugatuck kicks off its season by hosting Buchanan on Thursday, Aug. 28, with three of the first four games scheduled for Jarvis Memorial Stadium.
The Trailblazers host Lakeview on Friday, Sept. 5, before traveling to Brandywine on Friday, Sept. 12. They return home on Friday, Sept. 19, to face Coloma. (Photos by Jason Wesseldyk)
