On Thursday April 03, 2025 at 10:07 p.m. a Deputy with the Clare County Sheriff Office observed a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of M-115 near Maple Grove Rd in the Township of Surrey, in Clare County. This vehicle, which was occupied by a female later identified as Lynn Ann Curtis a 32 year old Lake woman did not have a valid registration plate attached. The Deputy made contact with Lynn, who subsequently consented to a search or her vehicle.
During the search, the Deputy located a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine as well as a bag containing a personal use amount of methamphetamine. Curtis was arrested and lodged at the Clare County Jail for possession of methamphetamine. She was arraigned in the 80th District Court Clare County, and her bond was set at $5,000/10%. She has since bonded out of jail.
During this investigation, the Deputy was able to obtain information regarding the sales of narcotics at a residence located at 3060 Hazel Drive, which is located in the Township of Hamilton, in Clare County. The Deputy was able to obtain a search warrant for this residence which was executed on Friday, April 04, 2025 at 6:50 a.m. Upon execution of this search warrant, Deputies seized approximately 2.5 grams of methamphetamine, several suboxone strips, a vial of Lidocaine, and other items used to package and sell narcotics.
An occupant living in a camper at the residence, 42 year old Donald Robert Cobleigh, as well as the homeowner, 67 year old Robert Wayne Cobleigh and a resident 42 year old Carrie Grace McCoy-Gernert were all arrested and lodged at the Clare County Jail upon completion of the search warrant.
Donald Cobleigh was charged with two counts of Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine second or subsequent notice, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine second or subsequent notice, and one count of Maintaining a Drug House second or subsequent notice. Robert was charged as a Habitual Offender and was also lodged on violating his probation. He was arraigned in the 80th District Court Clare County. His bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety on the new charges as well as $3,000/10% for the probation violation. He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
Robert Cobleigh was charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Weapons Felony Firearm. He was arraigned in the 80th District Court Clare County. Robert was released on a personal recognize bond.
Carrie McCoy-Gernert was charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine. She was arraigned in the 80th District Court Clare County. Her bond was set at $8,000/10%. She remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
